Maria Prina

I'm Maria Prina, in July I took my 2 MAs in Product Service System Design at Tongji University, Shanghai, China, and Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy,

after I graduated in Product Design in 2011.

 

 I have developed the skills to work in a team with people from different backgrounds, nationalities and cultures. In my projects, while paying attention to details, I am able to keep a general prospective on projects. I am very passionate in brand image and communication, creation on apps and most important in the user experience and strategic design.



During the undergraduate program I had the possibility to participate in the Erasmus Program and to live and study at the Politécnico de Valencia, Spain (academic year 2008-09). During this experience I wrote a book entirely in Spanish about the famous Italian designer Achille Castiglioni, with the collaboration of the daughter of Achille Castiglioni, Giovanna, and the collaborators of the Studio-Museum Achille Castiglioni.

In the last 2 years I was selected for the Double Degree Program "Politong 2013-14" between the Politecnico di Milano and Tongji University of Shanghai. Part of the program requires that students take classes for two semesters at Tongji University.

Also, in June 2012, jointly with 6 classmates from the Politecnico I founded C9D, Calibro9Design, to be able to participate to different design contests, as the new logo for Fondazione Achille Castiglioni. Also as a group we create a new system for the labels' classification for the Italian company, Nuncas.

 

In China I had the pleasure and the opportunity to partecipate with my group at 2 workshops organized by Audi and to win its competition with the project "Wroooom". Unfortunately, having a student visa, I couldn't partecipate in the development of the idea, but I am really glad that my Chinese groupmates are still collaborating with Audi to go forward in our idea.

 

I am really curious and I like to share what I discover and I love to share my smile and my energy with the people I have around. I learn and improve my English vocabulary with TV series and movies in original language and someone told me that I am actually a "human IMDb website". Sea and water are my natural elements and logically swimming is my sport and I tried also waterpolo.
